ANNUAL PNASD SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

An invitation to undergraduate and graduate nursing students!


The Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego (PNASD) is offering scholarship funds to Filipino and Filipino American nursing students currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Deadline for submission should be postmarked three weeks prior to the Scholarship Ball which is scheduled during the third weekend of September, annually. Deadline submission date will be posted online when determined officially for the year. Details or changes, if any, can be obtained by calling (619) 235-5502 and leaving a message for Cece Echon or Merlie Ramira.

NURSE EXCELLENCE AWARDS



ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR AWARDCLINICIAN OF THE YEAR AWARDCOMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDEDUCATOR OF THE YEARRESEARCHER OF THE YEAR
* Federal employees who work at Balboa Naval hospital or V. A. hospital are within criteria even if they are not registered in California.




PNASD CRITERIA FOR
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD SELECTION



     
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing
  • Must demonstrate a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • Must provide one letter of recommendation from your professor, teacher, faculty, or supervisor
  • Must be of Filipino heritage
  • Must be a resident of Imperial County, North County, or San Diego County of California
  • Must be involved in nursing and/or community health related events
  • Must submit a personal essay outlining goals, achievements, and community involvement
