Greetings from the PNASD

The Philippine Nurses Association Of San Diego County, Inc. is a non-profit organization of nursing professionals dedicated to the medical community of our chapter region within the Philippine Nurses Association Of America (PNAA). The PNASD, for thirty years, has taken pride in providing for our members and beyond, education, service, and unity to further our mission statement and philosophy.

Our image throughout San Diego, as well as throughout the country, has been expanding greatly these past few years with the help and devotion of our members. With workshops, participation in national conferences, scholarship programs, community services, collaboration with other nursing organizations, and monthly meetings, the PNASD has remained a strong professional and cultural influence in San Diego.

The PNASD offers monthly in-service courses and annual conferences that satisfy Continuing Education Units (CEU) which are applied towards earning or renewing the California State Nursing Licensure, as well as the opportunity to share this network of friendship and professionalism as a civic community, and as nursing professionals.

Overview:

Welcome to the beautiful Long Beach, California! Last July 2009, Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA) celebrated its 30th year as a professional organization. The current PNAA President’s mantra, PRISM (Professional Linkages, Regulatory and Legislative Agenda, Interagency Collaboration, Services and Program Development, and Managing Organizational Resources), provides the framework in its pursuit as a premiere ethnic association and celebrates the contributions of members to the healthcare arena.

The Philippine Nurses Association of Southern California, Inc., this year’s host of the 11th Western Regional Convention, presents the theme, “Refocusing our Priorities, Reshaping our Future through PRISM.” This 2-day conference will provide opportunities to network with colleagues, share clinical and research-based knowledge with our members, while enjoying what the famous Long Beach has to offer!

Pre-Conference Seminar on 3/18/2010:

AHA Healthy Heart, Healthy Family Train the Trainer, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (FREE). Pre-registration required. Priority will be given to PNAA members belonging to the AHA Western Affiliate (California and Nevada). Others will be considered on space availability and will be confirmed prior to the program.

Leadership Institute Workshop on 3/19/2010:

Open to PNAA Executive Board and two chapter representatives, preferably the President and the President-Elect (FREE)
Chapter’s Extra participant $70.00

Education Seminar on 3/20/2010:

Chapter Members: $ 99.00 if post marked on or before March 5, 2010
Non-members: $115.00 if postmarked on or before March 5, 2010
Pre-licensure Students: $ 75.00 if postmarked on or before March 5, 2010
All: $125.00 If postmarked after March 5, 2010
